We've talked about how our team has re-ignited the passion within our souls at Wi-Me Snowboards and that we’re using our company to not just make the best boards for your buck, but to also help the community and bring purpose to our lives. For this upcoming season, we're introducing the 2019 Wi-Me Legacy Series!
When Life Gives You Lemons…
When challenges or adversity come into your life, there are two ways to approach it. Curl up into a ball and wait it out or use it to create something bigger and better. When our good friend Dustin was diagnosed with cancer, it was heartbreaking. It made us angry. Frustrated. Helpless. It was also around that time we were mortgaging the sun, the earth AND the moon to keep Wi-Me afloat. Sure, we could’ve said, “Sorry! Can’t help ya.” Instead, we went the other route. We began to raffle off extra inventory and donating the profits to provide hope for him to keep fighting. It was time to kick cancer's ass!
How The Wi-Me Legacy Series Came To Be
With heavy hearts, on August 30th, Dustin passed away after a tough fight with cancer. It pained us to know that his son would never get a chance to know the amazing man his father was. We wanted to honor Dustin and inspire others to keep fighting against the odds. He may have lost his battle with cancer, but he won by the values, virtues and integrity he lived his life by every day. Dustin changed my life and the brands direction. It was a worthy cause to focus on in my darkest hour, and it brought joy to help my friend. And that’s how our Legacy Series came to be! A portion of all our sales will be donated to help fight cancer.

They always say when life gives you lemons, you make lemonade. Or as the hip hop group Atmosphere likes to say, "When life gives you lemons, you paint that *ish* gold!” And that’s exactly what we are doing with our 2019 Wi-Me Snowboards Legacy Series. If your neighbor lost their house in a fire or your best friend got diagnosed with an illness, would you hesitate to do everything you could to help them out? Of course not! And that’s what this series is all about.
